Vine at Home Services

Welcome to Temple Methodist Church's
Vine at Home Services for Easter

At the end of this page you will find a link to our Vine at Home Zoom service for Sunday 18th April at 10:30am.  Alternatively you can catch up later on Facebook.

The service start with a Call to Worship, a Hymn, Opening Prayers and the Lord's Prayer.  [The hymns are available on YouTube.  This should start automatically - (remember to make sure your speakers are turned on! - close the YouTube tab afterwards to return to the Service)].  Next we have Bible Readings followed by reflections on these readings.
We will then close this service with Prayers of Intercession, another Hymn and a Blessing.
After the service there is the option to join a group for a virtual Coffee & Chat - you will be allocated an informal group to join - or you can just sign off.

Pastoral Message from our minister, Rev Wayne Grewcock:
Greetings in the name of Christ

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28: 19-20

What does it mean for you “to go and make disciples?”

What sort of leaders do you think the church needs?

Do you have these gifts?

Let us pray.Jesus, when you command us to ‘go’ and share your Good News with the world, we have a range of thoughts and feelings; sometimes we are afraid, sometimes we think you don’t mean for us to do anything, sometimes we are excited. Jesus, help us to pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that hold us back so that we can bring those to you in prayer.

Amen

Physical Worship

Physical Worship – 2pm - Temple Methodist Church

Lead by Deacon Geoff Tamblin.

TO BOOK A PLACE PLEASE CONTACT MEL BY NOON ON SATURDAY 17th April for the service the next day
We ask that you help us administer places by not turning up if you have not booked a place.  This will only cause upset and embarrassment.

Still want to receive these services?

After sending these service sheets out to everyone for just over a year now, we thought it was a good opportunity to ask if you would still like to receive them.

Our Shoreline services are still going to be based on these services, and we are very happy to keep sending them out to you.

BUT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO CONFIRM THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KEEP GETTING THEM.  Please contact Mel and let her know.

Prayer requests and intercessors

If you have any prayer requests please can you contact Mel (our pastoral lay worker).  Before you do, either make sure you have permission from the people involved, or anonymise the request i.e. Please can we pray from Paul who is awaiting a diagnosis.

All of these requests and those that come from our Sunday worship will be included in the next pastoral letter, which will enable us all to pray for our brothers and sisters.

Please could we pray for:

Those who at this time are grieving the loss of a loved one.

The Queen, and all the Royal family as they mourn the loss of Prince Philip.

Mel and Henry at the passing of Tim, we give thanks for all the service Tim gave to the RNLI.

For Phil and Marion.

We pray for families and relationships that are struggling.

For Northern Ireland, Myanmar and other places where violence is on the streets.

For St Vincents following the eruption of the volcano.

We offer prayers as we move into this next phase of opening up in England, and for the whole of the world as they grapple with how to best deal this Covid.
