Welcome to Temple Methodist Church's
Vine at Home Services

At the end of this page you will find a link to our Vine at Home 5 July 2020 service.

The service starts with our Call to Worship then the first hymn.  [This hymn is available on YouTube.  This should start automatically - (remember to make sure your speakers are turned on! - close the YouTube tab afterwards to return to the Service)].  A time of Prayer and the Lord's Prayer is followed by a Bible Reading and reflections on it.  Finally we have Prayers of Intercession, another Hymn and a Blessing.  After the service there is the option to join a group for a virtual Coffee & Chat - Wayne will allocate you into one of the groups - or you can just sign off.

Here is this week's Message to you all from Rev Wayne Grewcock - Minister at Temple Methodist Church, Budleigh Salterton:

Greetings in the name of Christ.

Well apparently it has been a whole week since I last wrote to you all. Manse life has been very uneventful, but I have just signed up to walk a virtual Pilgrimage to Santiago, but more of that next week.

Thank you to all of those who have been in touch, replying to the questions I have been asking.  I get the sense that although we are all missing being together, there is no rush for most to take steps back into church buildings yet.  I am getting more information about what must happen.  There are many long forms and risk assessments to be completed, and the Government still has not given us details of what we will have to comply with.   When it is clear, and the relevant forms have been filled in, I will then have to call a church council, as it will ultimately be up to the managing trustees (The Church Council) to take responsibility.

I know this is probably not what some of you want to hear, but as we can see from the news the virus has not disappeared, and keeping people safe has to be top of our list.

What has happened in the last week is the graduation ceremony at the school in Beit Sahour - click on the 3 IMG files below to see photographs from the graduation.  Jean also informs us that the virus has struck again in the West Bank, including the Bethlehem area, with several cases.  Consequently the Palestinian authority is locking down  the area from Monday 29th for 2 days initially. So please hold them all in your prayers.

Lastly if any of you would like a copy of the Methodist prayer diary, can you let me know and I will pass your details on.

On Sunday we had 12 join our zoom service by phone, so if you would like to give it a go just give Mel a ring.  Mel’s phone number 01395 270570

Last Sunday we had 9 join our zoom service by phone, so if you would like to give it a go just give Mel a ring.  Mel’s phone number 01395 270570
